After painting it can be completely removed in a simple and safe way. The special feature of this mass is that it does not stain, does not grease, is not sticky and does not dry out. It can be used over and over again because paint residues can simply be incorporated without changing the properties of the masking putty. That's why many models can be masked and painted with a single package! Masking Putty is a smart putty (dilatant silicone putty). It changes its flow behavior depending on the force exerted on it. The mass can be kneaded or shaped with little force. However, the greater the spontaneous load, the more stable and brittle it behaves. A ball in Masking Putty bounces like a rubber ball, if suddenly stressed (hammer blow) it chips and when torn, smooth fracture surfaces are formed.
