MINIATURE
The figure, with its hieratic yet natural pose, is a perfect balance between dynamism and static pose: all the body masses are “grappling” to the sword, rigid in its vertical position, creating a sense of living tension given also by its position on the edge of the boat. The mantle flowing aside gives additional breath to the overall structure and the scene is framed by the boat’s prow from one side and his wolf companion on the other.
