Signature Series: Gabriele Dell'Otto

Gabriele Dell'Otto is an Italian illustrator author whose works have been published in several countries of the world. His activity during the years included several fields: scientific illustration, calendars, lithographies, books, coloured graphic folders, covers of magazines, videogame covers. He was born in Rome. He got a diploma in artistic maturity and registered himself in the European Design Institute. In 1998 started collaborating with the European division of Marvel Comics (Covers, Posters, lithographies for Italy, France, Germany). In Germany he started collaborating also with DC Comics and other publishers such as IPP, Egmont Ehapa, MG Publishing. In 2002 his work was shown to Joe Quesada, the editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics, which entrusted the art for the "Secret War" mini-series, written by Brian Michael Bendis. Between 2006 and 2007 Dell'Otto provided all the covers of the mini-saga "Annihilation" based on cosmic characters of the Marvel Universe. In May 2007 he published the illustrated book "Tales".
