Daji, known as the second wife of the last emperor of the Shang dynasty in
Chinese history, is a mythological figure depicted as a nine-tailed fox demon with a
lifespan of a thousand years. According to legend, when the emperor defiled the
supreme Goddess by reciting an erotic poem in her temple, the Goddess sent the
demon to seduce and corrupt him, ultimately leading to the downfall of the entire
empire. Despite her captivating beauty, Daji is notorious for her creation of numerous
torturous methods, representing a significant threat.
